Mighty Ducks Project was a community project by a group of bored 30+ years old, who decided to go back to their alma mater and helped improve the dwindling fortune of the school’s hockey team; once a premier team in the country.

Along the way they learnt the best education that they could not get in schools or offices – that of companionship, honesty and determination to do something out of selflessness.

Mighty Ducks Project consumed a great deal of my time and resources in the last four years. It brought together people of different ages, religions, nationalities and background – who came together for the common objective of bringing out the best out of secondary school boys whom they have never met before.

I experienced first hand the kind of rots plaguing our school and how the best of our values; once inculcated through our schools; slowly eroded by the day.

The story is sometimes corny, sometimes sad, sometimes energetic and most of the time, down right naive.

But it represented one of the best lessons and humbling experiences I have ever encountered so far.
